Trek Two

We have had quite an exciting night! We have been sitting through some thunderstorms, when the TV was interrupted with a TORNADO warning! There was a thunderstorm in the area, but there were reports of tornados about 30 miles away from us and they were headed in our direction. You know its serious when they postpone the final Survivor episode by 30 minutes. They are on the ball here in the US, and we could watch radar images of the storms and different tornados around us. Quite exciting, but also nerve-wrecking!

After all that excitement, the reality of the next big move looms! We are all packed and ready to hit the road. We will travel just over 6 hours tomorrow to the Ohio, West Virginia state line. Then on Tuesday we will travel for 3 hours to Cleveland. Not looking forward to the traveling but can't wait to settle down for at least 7 months! Please pray for us as we travel and that God will make the transition easy for us, and that I would enjoy my new job.

Back to the weekend, and it was another enjoyable one. We had fantastic weather and could go to the parks a number of times, so that Nathan could get his daily swing fix ;-) On Friday, we went back to Southpoint mall as we think its the best mall in the area. It also brought back stacks of memories as the last time we were there, was in the middle of winter 2 and a half years ago. On Saturday, we went shop exploring again and found a fantastic Christian Family bookstore. I wish there were stores like these in SA. It has everything from music, Bibles, fiction, references, DVD's, Greeting cards and even Christian toys for children! Sunday was Mother's Day and Nathan gave his mom a present which she loved (and so did her husband). We had a good church service, but then had to say goodbye to two good friends, who were sad to see us leave! Then the rest of day was spent tidying, cleaning and packing up (again). As I said, hopefully this is the last time for a long while!
